PETROSUN LLP was registered on January 17, 2012 in Kazakhstan.
The Company has been established by:
1. CNPC INTERNATIONAL KAZAKHSTAN LLP, and
2. JSC «National Company «KazMunayGas»
The core activity of the Company includes:
- Foreign trade, sale, commercial and export-import operations;
- Trade in hydrocarbon raw materials and products of hydrocarbon processing;
- Hydrocarbons and their products processing;
- Purchasing and processing crude oil, gas, oil products, fuels and lubricants (hereinafter referred to as “fuel and lubricants”) in Kazakhstan and abroad, including pre-treatment, storage, marketing and trade, distribution, import and export of crude oil and oil products, hydrocarbons and products of processing thereof, logistics, with the exception of natural monopoly area;
- Acquisition, storage, and transshipment of oil products; and
- Oil products transportation.
PETROSUN profile is represented as a single cycle covering the purchase of crude oil, refining into high-quality oil products, transportation and sale of oil products in the most profitable destinations in Kazakhstan and abroad.

• Negotiation of contractual terms and conditions for oil refining.
• Ensuring crude oil supply to the refineries of PKOP, PNHZ and ANPZ.
• Planning and coordination of work with refineries, monitoring oil products output.
• Managing oil product sales to the domestic market and for export;
• Ensuring timely shipment of refined products from refineries to avoid premature/unplanned shutdowns of the process at refineries.
• Compliance with the company's social commitments under the oil product supply plans for various regions of Kazakhstan for the sake of stabilizing the situation on the domestic market of Kazakhstan's oil products.
• Logistical support of oil products shipment from PKOP, PNHZ and ANPZ for export and inside Kazakhstan.
• Planning, arranging and coordinating railway transportation of oil products for export and the domestic market of Kazakhstan.
The company refines purchased crude oil at the following Kazakh refineries:
1. PetroKazakhstan Oil Products LLP (“PKOP”),
2. Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant LLP ("PNHZ"), and
3. Atyrau Refinery LLP (“Atyrau Refinery”).

Today, on 14th of June, a regional round table was held online to clarify certain issues to the oil products market players, which arose within the framework of the Rules for Equal Access to the Key Capacity approved by Order of the Chairman of the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition No. 15 dated June 13, 2022 (hereinafter the Rules), according to which, among other things, the activities of Petrosun LLP are regulated.

PETROSUN has supplied more than 362 thousand tons of liquefied petroleum gas
During 11 months of 2023, Petrosun has supplied to the domestic market 362,744 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), which is by 2.33% more than for the same period of 2022. The increase in supply was caused by a growth of LPG production at the three refineries of Kazakhstan.

PETROSUN Has Supplied Preferential Diesel Fuel for Farmers for More Than 60%.
During the period of harvesting campaign in the Republic of Kazakhstan from July to October 2023, PETROSUN ensured diesel fuel shipment of at a reduced cost in the volume of 186,368 tons. This is more than 60% of 291,339 tons planned for delivery as part of the state program to ensure autumn field works.

PETROSUN Has Supplied Social Fuel Oil to Kazakhstan Regions for 42%
Since September 2023, PETROSUN has carried out fuel oil supply to the regions of Kazakhstan in the total volume of 22,420 tons. The provision with fuel oil is 42%. At the same time, another 9,140 tons of social fuel oil have been nominated for shipment at the three Kazakh refineries.
